Hearing Services

At Clarity Hearing Aid Center we treat each patient with compassion and dignity. We are committed to listening to each patient's concerns and aggressively treating common ailments associated with your hearing loss.

Our Services include:

Free Hearing Screening & Consultation:

The first step towards understanding your hearing loss is to have a thorough consultation. Your hearing will be assessed by conducting an audiogram, or hearing test. This test is to determine if you can be helped by a hearing aid. Once this process is complete, we may be able to offer you a treatment plan to significantly improve your hearing. We offer this service at no charge to our patients.

Hearing Aid Sales

If your audiogram indicates that you could benefit from wearing hearing aids the next step would be the consultation. Our specialist will listen and take the time to discover how your hearing loss affects your everyday living.  We will then match the type of digital hearing aid, size or style, and options to your individual needs. At Clarity Hearing Aid Center we offer digital hearing aids from all major manufacturers at affordable prices. All hearing aids come with a full two to three year warranty that includes all repair, loss and damage. We also provide regular cleanings and adjustments for life. With so much amazing technology available, there’s never been a better time to try hearing aids!

You will be scheduled for a fitting once the hearing aids you ordered have been purchased and arrive at our office. This is usually less than a week and between 7-10 business days for custom products. The hearing aids will be programmed through a computer according to your audiogram. We will discuss care and use and what to expect during the first week. Once your new aids have been delivered to you the trial period will begin. You will be counseled on your experiences as you go through the process of adjusting to the new hearing aids. During the first 30 to 60 days expect up to three or four office visits.  It can take several weeks to become fully adjusted to listening with your hearing aids because the brain has to retrain itself to hear sounds you have been missing for years. We rely on the information you tell us so that we can make the necessary adjustments to them. Our ultimate goal is to help you to hear better with the hearing aids and we are willing to work with you for as long as it takes to achieve success. As a family owned and operated business we have the ability to develop a more personal relationship with you that continues long after your initial appointment. We take pride in the service that we provide to our patients!

Cleaning & Checking of Hearing Instruments

Hearing Aids and earmolds need regular cleanings. They must be kept free of wax and debris to ensure the sound quality remains as good as ever. Patients who purchase hearing aids through Clarity Hearing Aid Center will be provided with information on how to properly clean and maintain their hearing aids. We will also provide regular cleanings in our office as well as adjustments any time you feel it necessary. We strongly encourage our patients to utilize this service in order to keep their hearing aids in top working condition. We are always happy to clean and check your hearing aids even if they were purchased elsewhere.

Hearing Aid Repairs

Sometimes hearing aids malfunction or get damaged. When this occurs it is essential for the patient to have it fixed in a timely manner. We can perform minor repairs on some brands of hearing aids in our Roseville office. If your hearing aid cannot be fixed in our office the aid will be sent to the manufacturer for repair. If your hearing aid is still under a repair warranty there is no charge for the repair. If you are not under a repair warranty there will be a repair charge that will include a 6 month warranty. If you were not fit with your hearing aids at our practice, we can still help you with repairs on most makes and models.

In order for hearing aids to be effective, each one must be specifically programmed to the patient’s unique hearing loss. To determine the optimum settings for your hearing aids, we use your audiogram. There are a number of adjustments that can be made to tailor the hearing aid to your hearing loss and to your communication needs. Based on what your lifestyle and everyday surrounding are in may be necessary to provide adjustments from time to time for complete satisfaction. When hearing aids are purchased in our office, these services will be provided unlimited for the life of the hearing aid. If your hearing aids were purchased elsewhere we are happy to provide these adjustments for a small fee.

Custom Earmolds

When a patient selects a hearing aid style—such as behind-the-ear (BTE) hearing aids—custom-fit earmolds are often needed to ensure optimum performance and comfort. Earmold styles vary according to level of hearing loss, and the style of hearing aid with which they're paired. If you require a custom ear mold, our specialist will take an impression of your ear canal using a quick-setting silicone-like substance. The impression is sent to a specialty lab where it's turned into a replica of your ear structures. It typically will take 7-10 business days for a custom earmold to come back from the factory.

Custom Hearing Products
Musicians' Earplugs, Protective Earplugs and Swim Molds

Noise-induced hearing loss can be prevented. Using high-fidelity earplugs reduces the risk of hearing damage from noise in the workplace, around heavy equipment, loud music, firearms and excessive noise at venues such as athletic events or motor sports. Because your ears are unique only custom made products can provide the greatest effectiveness and best of all, they are affordable. Leave your ears unprotected and the day will come when you have trouble hearing. Protect yourself from ringing in the ears (tinnitus) and permanent hearing loss with custom fit hearing protection.

Earmolds are also used by certain professionals, such as music teachers, doctors, dentists, pilots, newscasters and anyone who needs to hear accurately in high noise environments.  Custom-fit Bluetooth™ earmolds give everyone the benefits of hands-free and comfortable phone conversation. And earmolds paired with MP3 players let you move freely without “losing” your earbuds.  Sleep plugs are designed to promote uninterrupted sleep. Great for shift workers or for people who lose sleep due to a snoring spouse. Swim molds are designed for use while swimming or showering to prevent moisture from entering the ear canal.

Assistive Listening Devices for Telephone & Television

Whether it’s using the phone, watching television, or just carrying on an everyday conversation, hearing should not be frustrating or challenging. Assistive Listening Devices are designed to improve difficult listening situations and, ultimately, enrich the overall quality of life for the hearing-impaired individual.

Hearing Aid Batteries

Hearing aid batteries are color coded according to size. Size 10, yellow; Size 13, orange; Size 312 brown; Size 675 blue. Batteries will typically last longer in an analog hearing aid than a digital one, simply because digital hearing aids require more power due to their more complicated circuits. Batteries typically last between 5 and 7 days. Batteries are available at our office for $1.00 per battery.

e are also fluent in Sign Language for the deaf & hard of hearing patient who signs with ASL.
